CLASSIC SHOWS HAVE cancelled their April 5 Malvern Festival of Transport following the Three Counties Showground scrapping all events at the venue in April, May and June.

In a statement today, Classic Shows said: "We have just been informed today by the Three Counties Showground that they have cancelled all events at their venue in April, May and June. This means that the Malvern Festival of Transport, due to be held at the Three Counties Showground on Sunday 5 April, is now cancelled.

"Any traders, exhibitors and visitors who have booked to attend this event will have their orders automatically transferred to the Malvern Festival of Transport event on Sunday 11 October.

"At present this is the only notice of cancellation that we have received. If / when there are any further changes to the current schedule we will make a further announcement(s) via email, social media and the Classic Shows website."

Scorton Auto & Bike 'Jumble have suspended all their events at the North Yorkshire Events Centre, including their autojumble due to take place this Saturday, March 21.

Devon Vintage Car Club have pulled their May 3 Autojumble following the suspension of activites at their South Devon Railway venue. Essex-based organiser Barry Jones has added April 19th's Navestock Autojumble to the 'cancelled' list. John Harding of the South Midlands Autojumble tells us that his event at the Ross-on-Wye Livestock Centre on Saturday April 11th is also off. Blackpool Vehicle Preseration Group have cancelled their Sunday, May 3 event at Cleveleys: "It is with regret that we have decided to cancel our Jubilee Gardens show due to the Coronoavirus outbreak. Contact will be made regarding entrants."

And The Scottish Autojumblers Association's Bridge-of-Earn Autojumble and Spares Auction, planned for April 26 has joined the casualty list as has the Penrith Autojumble on March 29; Ian Sherrard has cancelled events 'until further notice'.

The Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally, planned for May 17, has been cancelled. Organisers say: "In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the government guidelines and the current uncertainty of how long this will carry on for it is with a heavy heart we have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally.

"Ultimately the health and wellbeing of all is the most important consideration at this time.

"It’s disappointing for everyone including all our committee members who have worked hard for a whole year preparing for each show, but we must follow guidelines and look after all of you.

"We will be refunding everybody who has booked their cars in and stall holders if requested. Please bear with us as we have never experienced this before and will be especially busy dealing with enquiries.

"We will now carry on with plans to arrange the 2021 show and make sure that we make next year’s show a great success.
