Mark Woodward hosts another fantastic vintage vehicle event on the Whitsuntide weekend (Sunday, May 29).
It’s definitely one for the diaries as the beloved Hutton-in-the-Forest Show in Penrith is a favourite amongst classic car enthusiasts and family visitors alike.
Now in its 15th year, “Classic Cars in the Park” sees all the usual favourites that make the Hutton show so popular. Visitors will once again be treated to displays of classic cars, light commercials, vintage vans, tractors, motorcycles and classic Land Rovers, as well as an arena with commentary, auto jumble and trade stands.
Owners of classic MGs, Triumph Stags, Austin Seven’s and more, will be proudly presenting their treasured automobiles in front of the main house for everyone to enjoy. For visitor’s there’s chance to speak to the exhibitors, pick up a rare or discontinued part, bag a bargain or just enjoy browsing the many displays.
Mark Woodward’s name is synonymous with high calibre classic car events, hosting 18 shows this year. He said, “This is the first show in the North West and one of my particular favourites. Hutton-in-the-Forest is simply a stunning venue and one which my exhibitors love driving to. Everyone knows the Lake District is a stunning part of the country and to see everyone’s pride and joys, polished up and parading through the parkland is really something. It’s the perfect backdrop for all those gleaming classic cars. Hutton is a hidden gem and that’s all part of its charm”.
Hutton is home to Lord and Lady Inglewood and is well worth a visit. It boasts beautiful grounds, woods and parkland including a topiary garden. House tours are available from one o’clock at a small extra charge. Cloisters tea room will be open for refreshments, and visitors to the vehicle show are welcome to bring their own picnics. With the added bonus of well behaved dogs welcome in the park, Hutton-in-the-Forest is the perfect venue for this popular family event.
“Classic Cars in the Park” takes place at Hutton-in-the-Forest near Penrith, CA11 9TH on 29th May 2016 between 10am – 4pm. Admission is £6.50 for adults and £2.50 for children. 6 miles NW of Penrith and two and a half miles north west of M6 Junction 41 on the B5305 towards Wigton.
